“Desde el Alma” was selected to participate in the XI Tarbut 2011
Art Exhibition Hall and in the Lamhort 2011 Art Fair.
The opening of Mrs. Paula Guelman Plastic Art Exhibition “Desde el Alma” (From the Soul), will be held on Tuesday 5th at 7.30pm, at the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Museum, located in Palermo neighborhood, 3217 Castex Street. The exhibition will bring together large stunning canvases and smaller art works. The exhibition may be visited until April 18th, from Monday to Friday, from 2 to 6pm and Saturdays from 2 to 6pm.
The mysterious worlds that Paula poses in her art works emerge from the depths of her unconscious and they materialize through the tireless brushstrokes along and across huge canvases and numerous coats of paint and thinner.
Cultivator of a lyrical abstraction open to all eyes subjectivity, Guelman gets her color planes intermingle and complement each other to generate a wealth of sensations that, somehow, related her work with the great Wassily Kandinsky. In both, the violets-blue introspective paintings and in the fiery red-green ones, can be seen, almost constantly, light beams and semicircular lines which are transformed into a kind of compass that guide us through its incommensurable sensory landscapes.
